Job Description:

The Sr. Technical Recruiting Specialist & HR Assistant will be responsible for sourcing, interviewing, assessing, and onboarding new employees. This role will also include supporting essential HR tasks, developing recruitment strategies, and optimizing processes for continuous improvement. Additionally, the position will focus on identifying, attracting, and hiring technical talent, particularly senior software engineers, using various tools and platforms to enhance recruitment efficiency. The ideal candidate should be skilled in using recruiting tools such as BreezyHR and LinkedIn Recruiter and capable of technical screening in collaboration with hiring managers and technical leads.

We’re seeking an experienced Sr. Technical Recruiter to join our growing team!

Responsibilities:

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage the recruiting lifecycle for various roles, particularly senior software engineering positions, from sourcing to offer
  • Job Postings: Post job openings using BreezyHR and LinkedIn Recruiter, optimizing postings for maximum visibility and candidate engagement
  • Candidate Sourcing: Source and engage qualified candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter and other recruiting sources
  • Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings
  • Candidate Screening: Conduct initial interview screens to evaluate candidates against job descriptions and ensure technical and cultural fit
  • Schedule Coordination: Manage and coordinate interview schedules with candidates, following up to ensure candidates attend interviews
  • Fluency Evaluation: Conduct interviews in English to assess candidates’ English fluency, and rate their language proficiency
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers: Partner with technical leads and hiring managers to understand job requirements and develop accurate job descriptions
  • Technical Screening: Use technical assessment tools and facilitate interviews with subject matter experts to ensure candidates meet the technical requirements
  • Process Optimization: Evaluate and improve recruiting processes, leveraging ATS automation and ensuring efficient and streamlined hiring practices
  • Metrics and Reporting: Track recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, candidate quality, and pipeline status to continuously improve recruiting performance
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends, particularly in software engineering, to remain competitive in attracting top talent
  • HR Support: Assist with regular HR functions to promote an organized work environment
  • Travel: Travel to Santa Marta, Colombia approximately 4 times a year to meet with the leadership team
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in technical recruiting, with a focus on senior software engineering roles.
  • Approach: A proactive, self-motivated approach with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Degree: A college degree in HR or a related field is preferred, but we value practical experience just as much. If you’ve got the skills, we want to hear from you!
  • Tools: Proficiency in BreezyHR, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other technical recruiting platforms
  • Technical Understanding: Strong knowledge of software engineering roles and technologies, particularly Azure and .NET, to effectively screen and evaluate candidates
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to assess candidates’ English fluency
  • Process Improvement: Proven ability to optimize recruiting processes, using automation and data-driven approaches to improve efficiency
  • Collaboration: Ability to work closely with hiring managers and technical teams to meet hiring goals
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple open positions with varying degrees of technical complexity
  • Remote Work: Experience working in a fully remote environment, with the ability to independently manage time and priorities
